Learn step by step how to connect LexGraph with n8n and use legal research directly in your existing workflow.

  1. Step 1: Open LexGraph at lexgraph.de and click “Profile” in the top-right corner.
  2. Step 2: Scroll down to “MCP Connection”, then copy the “MCP URL”.
  3. Step 3: Switch to n8n and click the plus icon in the top-left corner.
  4. Step 4: Click “New workflow”.
  5. Step 5: Click “Add first step”.
  6. Step 6: Enter “MCP” in the search field on the right and select “MCP Client”.
  7. Step 7: Configure the MCP server.
  8. Step 8: Paste the MCP URL you copied into “MCP Endpoint URL”. Set Authentication to “MCP OAuth2”, then click “Set up credential”.
  9. Step 9: Paste the same MCP URL again under “Server URL”.
  10. Step 10: A “Connect” button should now appear. Click it.
  11. Step 11: Click “Connect LexGraph”.
  12. Step 12: You will be redirected back to n8n. Select lexgraph_search_legal_data from the tool list.
  13. Step 13: Under “Values to Send”, enter the complete request in the query field, for example: Retrieve the decision XII ZR 95/16.
  14. Step 14: Click “Execute Step”. The court case should be displayed on the right.

Done – LexGraph is connected

You can now use LexGraph directly in your AI product.
